Yes! It's that time of the year again and the fifth Cosfest is held at Downtown East. I gotta admit, this year's Cosfest was quite good in terms of the variety compared to last year, however the sad thing was the performance and of course the standard of the cosplayers isn't as good.

Oh yeah~ The well known stripping Lacus and Lunamaria pair actually won and are going to Japan to compete. And oh yeah~ A male cosplaying KOS MOS was something that will remain a nightmare in my memories forever.

One more thing... I think I'll be doing more anime bloggings in future.

Yes~ I'm feeling damn bored now. And since you're bored, what do you do? Of course you find things to do... So... Let's see what crap I've been doing for the past week besides school work...

Anime: 27 hours

Ok! What the hell? I just can't help it ok? I mean, the new summer releases are out, and I'm trying to catch em all! The remaining time are wasted on shows like this and that, which I just possibly can't resist. Namely show like Tsuyokiss, Honey & Clover II and not to forget, The Melancholy Of Suzumiya Haruhi, which made me a little depressed with the fact that it's over! I'm just praying for a 2nd season now.

Oh yeah~ The Shakugan no Shana movie will be out in 2007. I guess another year to go then since I don't really know when the heck it's gonna be done. LoL!

Basketball: 35 hours

I bet the fats in my body can't be burned up as much since I'm such a couch potato sitting in front of the computer more than exercising. Then again, playing at an average of 5 hours everyday isn't such a bad thing either. At least I'm working out my body again. And yes, I do have a batch of serious ballers perhaps a total of about 15 or more, which is more than enough to play a full court match (so much more fun than half court in my opinion) to sweat it out.

Novel Writing: 1 hour

I'm so ashamed of myself. I hardly spend time writing now. Still pissed off by the time where my hard disk went busted. So I had to rewrite everything. Still thinking of some stuffs. Liberia seems busy with his own work, so I won't really press him for the CGs but damn, he's really good!

The names were specially picked by Liberia and me since we wanted some meaning to it. If I remember correctly, Haruko's japanese name has to do with summer and Fuyumi's one with winter. =)

Round One: the Unknown

I can't reveal much on what I'm doing yet, but I'm working on it bit by bit since school work is killing me. Just hate it. Like I've said before, things always goes against with what you feel and think. Now I'm in no mood to do work, they throw a pile and when I faced the fact and decided to do it, they cancel classes, spoiling my plans to do my work with my group members.

Games: < 1 hour

Seriously... I barely touch games these days. Perhaps the last thing I ever played on the PC was... Heroes of Might and Magic 5 - Age of Heroes around a few weeks ago? But well, it was just simple to play and it was boring to play with AI everytime.

Well~ Screw that because my wish just came true as 舞-HiME 運命の系統樹 修羅 (Mai-HiME Unmei no Keitouju Ashura) is released on the PC! Given that I'm such a poor bastard at the moment, I'll download this and give it a go! Natsumi for the win! I'll perhaps try to find ways to raise money to have Tiong to get them for me when he goes to Japan later this month. (So... Any hot ladies need some pleasure? I charge at an hourly rate + special rate)

Surfing The Internet: 84 hours

It might be the exact but I believe I use the internet at least 12 hours a day, wasting half of the day in my room. Watching animes, GFX, novel writing. Yes! Everything! What else? Looking for nice anime scans to save and collect, looking for games to play. Perhaps surfing some porn? *fap fap fap* And a little hentai? *fap fap fap*

After a long night, with my own eyes, I see Italy qualify for the finals after defeating Germany, scoring 2 goals in the 2nd half of extra time at the 119th and 120th minute!

Anyway, I went to watch Higurashi no Naku Koro ni yesterday. Just when I thought it was some nice anime, turns out that these nice cute girls are creepy at the same time! YES! I know it's unbelievable!

Adaption of the amateur created murder mystery computer game Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni developed by the studio 7th Expansion. Studio Deen will produce the animation.

The main character of the story is Maebara Keiichi, a young teenager, who has recently moved from the city to the rural village of Hinamizawa with his family. He`s adjusting pretty well to his new life, making several friends at his new and small school, playing games every day and passing his days in a bliss, when suddenly a murder case happens...

From that point on a mystery, which traces back to happenings five years ago, begins to unravel itself before him. But which is that he is bound to find out and more importantly, will he be able to digest the truth behind all of this.

Well~ Skipped classes today since I'm having a fever which came out of no where (Ok~ I'm just saying crap since it's always that case isn't it?) and I'm like lying on the bed for the whole day. Looks like its back to the busy time of the year again. Yes, I meant the time where everyone is slacking and *poof* tons of works are thrown at you without mercy. I wonder if it's just me or everyone feels the same. When you're like in the mood to do work and want to work the shit out of yourself, you have absolutely nothing to do. And just when you're into the slacker mode, this things happens. Ugh~

Well~ Some of the shows I'm looking forward to... Quite a few actually so I'll just brief through a few...

Let's see... Ok~ Let's start with one of the shows that I've waited for a long time. Yes. The sequel of Honey & Clover is out!

Honey & Clover II has finally aired and even though it's 13 episodes instead of 26, I do hope this will interesting (Fingers crossed hoping it isn't as disappointing as D.C.S.S) since I have high hopes on it. You can go check out their official website at http://www.hachikuro.net/

Another show would be Tsuyokiss. Based on a game by Candy Soft. It's really an interesting show. Though I myself ain't sure what it's about, but I'll watch it anyway since I find it interesting from the sypnosis that I read.

Just minutes ago, I saw England fall once again to Portugal for the second time since the Euro 2004. The first half was just terrible. But then again, with Owen gone, it was sooner or later that they'll be knocked out. Second half was quite good till the 62nd minute where Rooney stamped on Carvalho's groin and just shoved C.Ronaldo, resulting in the red card, which I think was just too harsh. Lampard wasn't doing good too but I can't say too much since I'm not of their standard.

So the curse of losing all PKs continued as England lost 3-1 in pentalies.

Disappointment for me and I'm sure GF is pissed too since Portugal knocked out his own country, Holland.

My hard disk got busted... Yes~ Which means I have changed it already. However, EVERYTHING IS GONE!!! NO!!!!!!

Damn it! Anyway, perhaps its better too cause now my computer is running very fast with it being empty. Lost almost 30-40GB of stuffs which included my Photoshop stuffs, my research, my novel, my pictures, my H picture collection, my artbook collection and not to forget, tons and tons of movies and animes! Grrr...

I was told that my laptop blew up because it overheated. I guess its due to me not switching it off for a very very long time. LOL! I guess it was poor ventilation too... Sorry laptop!!! Now I gotta redownload all the stuffs that I lost (which takes ages), but only the animes perhaps. Pictures will be history for me since I don't really use it often. I guess I'll just rebuild another one. Just pissed that all my GFX work are gone too. Well~ Time for a rebirth I think. Won't be downloading that much now unless I'm on the computer myself or if I haven't really used it for the day.

What other bad stuffs? I flunk my assignment 1 for EBF. I mean, its just crap. I scored well for all the questions except for this particular 40 mark question which I ended up getting 4 only. It was to pick a shop and to state it's problems, and I guess I picked a shop that was too established perhaps. Grr... Wasted marks for me. Argh~ Heck! I just gotta do better in the future.

About time I got new DVDs and I just did. Burnt Fate/Stay Night out so which means, more space for the laptop. Might wanna get the orginal DVD when I can.

DarkMirage is going on a Trip to Japan the day after so perhaps I'll pass him my cash for the Saber plushie that he's gonna get it in Japan. I would love to get more, but since I don't really know him that well... It's best to play safe, don't you think so?

Ok~ It's been quite some time so I'll just rant about what the heck has happened the past few days. First off, I want to wish my dad a Happy Birthday.

Well~ Finally managed to bring Jia Ren to have a meal at Tampopo. Had a nice time eating there. Now that we've completed the stamps for the discount, we'll be going for a huge feast the next time we go over at 50% off!!! Mmm...

Oh yeah~ Went to watch X-Men 3. It wasn't too bad but it kinna suck since it didn't follow the orginal story. So many people died, which I won't spoil here. But damn... Halle Berry is hotter than every! Love Storm!!! Love her! *fap fap fap* Love the new haircut in the show too! *fap fap fap*

Can't believe it, but I actually won Artist Of The Month in Divine Awards in Minitokyo!!! I can't believe it!!!

Anyway, working on a vector now and I'll be dedicating to the people who have supported me.

The release of Demonbane of the anime got me interested in this series and I went to check out the OVA before watching the TV series. So I went to get the visual fan book to take a look and there were tons of stuffs inside which were cool. Saw this particular scan of Leica and thought, this other side of her is definately much cooler and nicer so let's get to work! It's from the episode 6 of the game titled Joan Of Arc.

The scan, which consist of 2 scans, took me a hell lot of time just to fix them up, and redraw them, trying to make it as close as possible to the orginal. Trust me, there were just ton of text all over the place and it was hell to remove them. After touching up everywhere, I was just satisfied with how it looked. All the insignia were fixed to make it look nice.

Decided to name this Battle Angel since Leica is from the church and this is only when she's in her battle suit. The third important female character in the game and since there isn't any wall with her... I decided to be different and did it.

Hope you guys like it! Enjoy! Oh yeah! I would like to dedicate this to Devildude since he's finally back and of course the fact that he like girls like the one here! =X

Am I seeing things?

Japanese National Police Agency's New Law against "Manga, Anime, Game Expression"

Today, I got an email from a Japanese creator, letting us know about the new law currently being discussed to be applied by Japanese National Police Agency. This

is a law to restrict expression of Manga, Anime, Game, that are:

# Image that show sexual expression of characters that appears to be under 18.
(Ex: The character does not have under hair, or character appears to be an under 18 school age child.)

# Image that show characters appears or seems to be under age, that are engaging in sexual act wheather or not if genital part is censored

My personal thoughts after reading it...

I don't really hate lolicon, it IS artwork and you can always potray another image (E.g: A character who is matured in character but looks loli). Then again... I am firmly against this form of censorship.

Child porn are bad but I don't see any link with drawings? It is true to say that pedophiles may like to view lolicon material, but that's not what turned them into pedophiles in the first place. They are pedophiles because they are mentally that way and not because of some drawing.

What I really think... Which I agree totally with DarkMirage.

Correlation does NOT equal causation

Some examples to show what is Correlation and Causation for those who don't know.

Phenomenon A: The sun rises.
Phenomenon B: The sky turns bright.

A and B always happen together. This is correlation.
A causes B to happen. This is causation.

Now let's say someone is coming home from somewhere when the sun sets.

Phenomenon A: The sun sets.
Phenomenon B: That person reaches home.

A and B always happen together. This is correlation.
But A does not cause B to happen. There is no cause and effect. We can always go home in the day or rather, anytime we want!

Another example:

Millions of people watch TV. Some of them are serial killers.

Millions of people eats 3 meals a day. Some of them are serial killers.

Millions of people sleep or rather everyone does. Some of them are serial killers.

Just because serial killers play watch TV, eat and sleep doesn't make any of those things the cause of their violent nature.

Similarly, just because pedophiles read loli materials doesn't mean that loli materials turns normal people into child molesters. It may seem very logical to conclude that a person who enjoys loli material will naturally turn into a pedophile, but there is simply NOTHING to support that hypothesis AT ALL.

Censorship does not solve anything. Pedophiles will still be pedophiles. Violent criminals will still be violent criminals.

To me I think there is a very HUGE DISTINCTION between child porn and loli porn. In child porn, children are being harmed by the act itself. In loli porn, no one is harm. Essentially to punish someone for viewing loli porn is the same as thought crime. I think of killing certain people all the time. I just don't do it. Its a very HUGE DIFFERENCE.

Hating loli porn on a personal level is one thing, trying to censor it is another. If someone made it illegal just because majority hates it then most people shun homosexuality. Is it therefore okay to persecute homosexuals and censor any form of entertainment with homosexual influences just in case they become a bad influence to someone?

BUT! I do support age-based restriction because I think a child can be easily influenced by it. But I can't see why these kind of entertainment can turn everyone who sees it into pedophiles.

Just got home after watch The Da Vinci Code. I have to say... It's super dry and for people who knows nothing (Yes! You! IF you have not read the book and knows SHIT about it), don't bother watching it.
